Mrs Shelton was the wife of Norman Leslie Shelton, Member of Parliament for Rangitikei 1954-1974. They married in 1935 and had one son. She was a member of the Plunket Society and the Womens Division of Federated Farmers, as well as a patroness of the St. Stephen's Art Centre in Marton. Article in Manawatu Standard 1 October 1974.
