Display of work done by the United Guild for air raid victims of World War II

The United Guild mounted a Palmerston North window display to publicise the work they were doing for air-raid victims in England during WWII. The Guild operated under the patronage of the Kairanga County Council, combining and co-ordinating the efforts of 34 organisations of Manawatu towns and country districts. By 1941 it had forwarded 13,000 garments through the Lady Galway Guild in Wellington. Published in the Free Lance 23 July 1941.
