The Town Crier traditionally leads the Christmas Parade, acts as a goodwill ambassador for the city of Palmerston North, and welcomes dignitaries to the city and the region. At citizenship and graduation ceremonies, the Town Crier plays a prominent role. Caroline Robinson has competed in International and National Town Crier Championships.
