This image compliments a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 14th March 1971 [One of the traction engines is towing a gig of people and the second is pulling a red covered wagon. The wagon could be the travelling store which was used by Peter Kerouz who visited all parts of this district up till 1957. He sold everything from a needle to an anchor. This wagonette is 75 years old. The roadway is lined with spectators.]
