This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 February 1961 ""Exams! A long and painful process" - That was the comment of Mr. W. Davis, of Wellington, who was using the reference section of the Palmerston North Public Library to assist him in his examinations at Massey College. He is sitting in front of the fine arts section, but he was far removed from the arts in thought - he is studying for a Diploma in Agriculture (Dairy Farming)."
