This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 06 March 1961 "A busy day for the counters at Jaycee House on Saturday in the house-to-house appeal. The smiles on their faces are indicative of the splendid result. On the left are Mr. C. Lord (in charge of counting at Jaycee House) and Mr. B. Robertson (Jaycee organiser for the appeal). On the extreme right is Miss Heather Shortt, daughter of Mr. J.H. Shortt (blind welfare officer)."
