This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 15 October 1958: "The Minister of Education (Mr. Skoglund) paid an official visit to the Palmerston North Girls' High School today. Here is he seen addressing the morning assembly. Members of the Girls' High School committee, who are also members of the Palmerston North High Schools' Board of Governors, and the chairman of the Parents' Association were also present."
