"Schoolmasters Learn to Clean the Fn Rifle"

Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 May 1961 "It is not often that schoolmasters are taught, but one has to be taught to be able to teacher [sic]. Shown above is a small portion of the 70 schoolmasters who were completing the officers training courses at Linton Camp today. Having fired the Fn rifle, the masters were instructed in the cleaning procedure. Major Hoskins, of the Regular Forces, holds the rifle while Captain Nelligan uses the "pull through"."
