This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 04 February 1961: "The members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Palmerston North, --- in the last few months and weeks they have been privileged to receive several excellent and fine additions to their church plant. Only recently they dedicated the Lutheran Memorial Hall and tomorrow they will dedicate a new [electronic] organ. ---The organ was presented to the congregation by Mr. and Mrs V.D. Fraser and family. The cost was well in excess of £1000. The minister of the congregation (the Rev. H.N. Wendt) said he was more than thrilled with the addition of the organ to the church appointments... In this photograph Mrs Fraser tests the equipment watched by Mr. Wendt.."
