Peke atu ki ngā rauemi
Description

A bridge was first built across the Manawatū River in 1877, linking Palmerston North with the Fitzherbert area. The second bridge was constructed between 1933 - 1935 and remained in place until 1986 when it was replaced by the bridge being constructed in this series of photographs.
