"£1200 Go-Kart Track Ready in April"

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 23 February 1961 "When the Manawatu Go-kart Club's new track on Waldegrave Road is completed it will be the best in New Zealand. The track is being constructed in a narrow basin and measures a distance of three-tenths of a mile. It is contemplated that the completed project will cost about £1200. The money is being raised by the efforts of members and the women's committee."
