The woman on the right is Vera Burr (1916-1999), who later married Courtney McLennan, and following his death married John Boman. She went on to author several local history publications under the name Vera McLennan-Boman. The woman on the left is unidentified.
This property the home of Mr and Mrs A K Drew. Alfred Kingsley Drew (c.1882-1953) married Elsie Gordon Flyger in April 1908. He served as County Clerk for the Manawatū County Council for 43 years, until his retirement in 1950. Their house, named Brooklynne, is located at 8 Farmer Street, Sanson.
