"Will House Plant for Water Purification"
More Info →- Description
-
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 October 1960 "A swimming pool water treatment plant will be installed in this shed built by a working bee at the Terrace End School. When the plant is functioning it will purify the water in the swimming pool by the use of two large sand filters. The water will circulate from the pool through the filters, be injected with chlorine and returned to the pool again, the same water being used all the time. The plant is the first to be installed in primary schools."
