Born in Wales in 1908, Josie came out to NZ in 1909 with her parents, Joseph Henry and Deborah Eleanor Griffiths. A brother (Fred Griffiths) was born here in Palmerston North in 1909. Josie lived at 19 Ngata Street most of her life, and died at the age of 95 in 2004.
