This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 14 August 1961 "Last Saturday afternoon a well known and popular Chinese couple were married at St. Patrick's Church, Palmerston North. The bride, Miss Monica Joe Ngock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Joe Ngock, and the groom, Mr. Allan Wong, son of Mr. and Mrs K.S. Wong, of Palmerston North, are both popular leaders in the Chinese community. Over 600 guests attended the reception. The bridal party is seen leaving the church after the ceremony."
