This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 14 June, 1963. "At a special function last night at the Linton Military Camp Officers' Mess, the Mayor of Palmerston North (Mr. G. M. Rennie) presented, on his own and Mrs Rennie's behalf, a silver tea set valued at £30 to the mess. The photograph shows Mr. Rennie (centre) after the presentation with the Camp Commandant, Major W. H. Dyson (left) and the president of the mess committee, Major J. Harvey.''
