Marx Voss (c.1850-1923) and Maren Voss (c.1854-1934) emigrated from Denmark with Bishop Monrad's scheme in 1874. They settled and farmed in Karere, where they raised their nine children.
This image is derived from a copy negative, made from a photograph loaned by Michael Fitzsimons of Karere in 1970. The original photograph is not held by the Ian Matheson City Archives.
