Led by a mascot wearing a sheep's head, the Canterbury team takes part in a march past during the opening ceremony for the New Zealand National Special Olympics Summer Games held at the Manawatū Sports Stadium. The Games took place in Palmerston North between Friday 30 November and Sunday 2 December, with over 1250 atheletes participating.
