This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 22 May 1961 "Pedestrians and motorists were surprised to see a new vehicle being trundled through the city streets today. Pushed by Mr. W. Dick (left) and Mr. B. McBride, both City Council employees, the cart was being used to carry the full containers and a supply of empty ones for the parking meters. Counting the coins was undertaken this afternoon in the city treasurer's office."
