At the mid-point of the right-hand side is Freyberg High School, and adjacent to that the quarry in Humber Street. Humber Street runs along the bottom of the photograph, the cul-de-sac to the left is Esk Street with Tweed Street above it running up onto Featherston Street.The site of the quarry is now Skoglund Park - formerly known as Humber Street Park. The park is a main football field and home to the Central Football Federation. It is named for Phil Skoglund, former MP for Palmerston North. It is located adjacent to Freyberg High School.
