"Unbelievable Damage By Rodents"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 April 1963, "A Kairanga resident received a shock last week. Two years ago he placed a silver tea service in a box and put it into a cupboard. Last week he went to get the set out and found that rats had been to the cupboard and had completely destroyed the silver set. Holes had been chewed through every piece. The teethmarks can be clearly seen round each of the holes."
