Local historians weekly "Back Issues" article in the Manawatū Standard. When the Feilding and Districts Community Archive opened in 2009, it received a time capsule from the Feilding Public Library. The capsule had been filled and sealed in 1986 by Feilding Intermediate School pupils, with instructions that it was to be opened on 9 December 2011. The capsule was opened in December 2010, with one of the 1986 pupils in attendance.
