A parade of uniformed soldiers headed by a brass band, in The Square, near the corner of Church Street. Beyond can be seen the corner of Fitzherbert Avenue, with the Occidental Hotel on one side (with distinctive clock tower) and the Bank of New Zealand on the other. Other businesses shown are Furnishing Co Ltd, Manawatu Standard and Crouchers.
