Description

During Local History Week in October/November 2018, animated content from Manawatū Heritage was projected onto the façade of Downtown Cinemas. The projection was designed to play with our history and tell the story of who we were and are, challenging residents and visitors to pull the threads of our history together through imagery and go away with a picture of Palmerston North that is always moving. Local photographer, David Lupton worked with the Heritage Team to tell the story using hundreds of historical and contemporary images. Using projection mapping software, he merged the imagery projected from three projectors mounted inside the Regent Theatre building.
