Wesley Methodist Church, Broadway Avenue

Description

Methodist services began in Palmerston North in 1872, and by the 1890s worshippers met in both Broadway and Cuba Street. This church, originally called St Paul's, was designed by James Bennie in 1911 and was the third on the Broadway site. In 1989 the two sites decided to unite on Broadway Avenue. The church is now known as the Wesley Broadway Church. Demolished in 2020 after being classed an earthquake hazard.
