Len Spelman’s Ambassadors - Dance Band

Alan Sundborn (12 string guitar/pedal steel), Walter Rumsey ( drums), Hock Prime (saxophone), Len Spelman (piano) This band played together for many years after the war at family and other functions in Palmerston North and surrounding country towns such as Halcome, Apiti, Opiki, Feilding, Hunterville, and Woodville. They often traveled on winding metal roads and arrived home in the early hours of the morning in time to go to their day jobs. Ivan Saville (double base) also played with this group.
