This image is believed to have been taken by Palmerston North Engineer Edwin Daniel Berry or his son Frank. The young boy at left appears in several images in the Berry Family Collection. Although unknown, it is likely this is one of Edwin Berry's first apprentices as he appears to be standing in front of the original premises in Main Street. See also 2023G_2023-25_0417942.
The man at right is likely one of Berry Engineering's first employees. He may also be depicted in 2023G_2023-25_041744.
