Description

Artist Graham Hoete, known as Mr G, painted these larger-than-life portraits of Sir Apirana Ngata, Sir Edmund Hillary and Kate Sheppard on the side of Obo's Mihaere Drive building.   In the Manawatu Standard on 6 December 2018, Mr G said that he painted these figures  because "all three of them cover a broad range of what it means to be a New Zealand legend."
