Description

In response to comedian John Cleese's comments about Palmerston North following his 2005 tour of New Zealand, comedian John Clarke - a Palmerston North native - suggested the Awapuni landfill be re-named the "John Cleese Memorial Tip." The Palmerston North City Council erected the sign in 2007.
