The Whittaker farm was on Scotts Road, Kahuterawa. In the early years Child Brothers, carriers, would come up as far as Whittaker’s woolshed to collect the hand shorn wool by horse and cart. The driver in the photograph is possibly Mr Manifold. This shed was blown away in a gale in 1935.
