Shown here is the first of the RNZAF’s three Cessna ‘Eagle’ Aircraft which went into service in a training and VIP transport role. The five-seater plane replaced the ageing Devons. The Cessna had a range of 450 nautical miles and cruised at 185 to 200 knots. It was also intended for use with search and rescue work.
