"King of the Carnival"

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 11 April 1961 "The newly-enthroned King of the Carnival studies a document which has just been presented to him. It entitles him to clothing which would be supplied by the retailers listed on it. The picture was taken at the "coronation" ceremony at the Concert Chamber on Saturday Night."
