Official souvenir, commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of Palmerston North. The illustrated book was compiled by Robert H Billens and H Leslie Verry and the Organiser was H E Taylor, under the auspices of the Diamond Jubilee of Palmerston North and District Committee, headed by the Mayor, A E Mansford. The book contains a short history of the area, as well as potted histories of some businesses, organisations and institutions, up until 1937. The 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Borough of Palmerston North was celebrated in 1937.
