Dear Miss,
This is to confirm the decision made at a meeting convened
by the Mayor A.E. Mansford Esq., of representatives from Palmerston
North concert parties [held] in the City Council Office on 27th. January
1943, to discuss the matter of organised concerts at Linton M.C.
It was decided to have concerts in rotation starting FEBRUARY
10th., as follows :-
Wednesday Feb., 10th. W. W. S. A. [Mrs Northey & Langley?]
Wednesday Feb., 17th. Sunny Corner Remnants
Wednesday Feb,. 24th. Straight 8
Wednesday March 3rd. Little Theatre
Wednesday March 10th. Merry Makers
Wednesday March 17th. Good Companions
Wednesday March 24th. Repertory
There will be a further meeting during March to decide the
second itinerary of concert parties.
On Monday of each week I will contact the secretary of the
concert party for the following Wednesday, with a view to making
transport arrangements, also to discuss the Institute in which the
concert should take place.
Thanks are due to all representatives for their co-operation
and Major E. Morgan has asked me to convey his sincere appreciation
of your willingness to provide entertainment for the troops.
