At the Mater Hospital

Description: This image was taken (but not used) for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 23rd December 1965 "The Mother Superior Aquinas at the Mater Misericordiac Hospital in Grey Street paid tributes to the sisters and staff today for the Christmas decorations in the foyer, corridors and patients' rooms. In this photograph Sister Timothy has assembled this crib scene on snow covered macorocarpa branches decorated with glowing fairy lights in the foyer. In keeping with the theme she has used silhouettes for the main windows and massed flowers add to this gay, yet tranquil, entrance scene.
