Mc'Donalds fast food family restaurant was situated in The Square on the corner of Church Street, in the 'Bryant Building'. It moved to Princess Street in 2009.
The photograph was taken by Alf and Merlyn Drew, to test equipment for their business, Photo Instruments Limited which operated at 55 Princess Street from 1959-1989.
