Face shields made at Blueprint Makerspace during Covid-19 Lockdown.
- Description
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, Blueprint Makerspace Coordinator Harley Bell signed up to assist the 'Sheild's Up' initiative. Using the space's 3D printers (and loan machines from Te Manawa museum), over 800 face shields were 3D-printed and provided to local dentists, midwives and the sterilisation department at Palmerston North Hospital.
This image first appeared on the Blueprint Makerspace Instagram page, with the caption: "120 face shields going out to local healthcare providers, pharmacy’s and midwives tomorrow. Got a lot more requests for shields than physics allows, so if you have a 3D printer I urge you to sign up to help at shieldsup.org.nz. Harley is the Manawatu hub coordinator and can help answer any questions you have. MOAR SHIELDS!!1"
