This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 14 December 1960 "Staff of Woolworths met last night to pay tribute to Mrs. C. McLeod, who has retired after 31 years' service. The manager for New Zealand (Mr. J.N. Laurenson) presented her with a cheque. Grouped around are managers from various branches of Woolworths, while seating are from left Mr. Laurenson, Mrs. McLeod and her husband. The Woolworths staff shown in the photograph have between them 216 years of service."
