This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 06 August 1960 "The Ross Intermediate ninth grade B Rugby team, which was unbeaten this season. They one nine and drew one of the 10 games they played. Scoring 157 points themselves, they had only 15 scored against them. Shown with the boys are Mr. B.T. Deighton, a teacher at the school, and Mr. R. McCarty their coach."
