Mark Bell-Booth, Mayor of Palmerston North (2001-2004), planting a camellia, in front of Ladies Rest in The Square. The planting was the initiative of the Urban Care Community Group and the Camellia Society to commemorate 100 years since the Beautifying Society planted camellias in The Square.
