Description

An article in the Feilding Star of July 1892 states that a Palmerston North drama club put on a melodrama by the name of: "An American Slave Drama: Dred or the Great Dismal Swan." See also: “Saga in Sepia” by V. Smith, page 161. George Shailer was a well known photographer in Palmerston North, taking many Studio and informal photographs in the Manawatu Region.
