PhD in anthropology of dance with Queen’s University, Belfast, comparing ballet and breakdance. Working in community arts, a new global movement. Art as a means of linking diverse groups. Development stalled with funding cuts in 1990s. Funding sources reemerging now. Crows Feet Dance Collective. Dance exercise project. Mostly for women, but there are other things for men. Covid and social dance. Country dances, changes since then. Middle aged males have missed out. New Zealand separation of men and women at social events.
