This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 17 December 1962, "Last Saturday night Father Christmas paid a visit to the Band Hall in Botanical Road where the children of the staff of the "Manawatu Evening Standard" enjoyed thier annual Christmas party. To the delight of the children, Father Christmas arrived in the office van which was gaily decorated with balloons and streamers.
