"Spectators Give Freely" Fundraising for Widow of Deceased Speedway Rider

Mrs. L. Myers, the widow of the late Mr. Lindsay Myers, who was fatally injured in an accident at a speedway meeting on February 18, will receive £215 as a result of a collection taken by riders and T.Q. drivers at the speedway meeting on Saturday night. The riders and drivers passed through the crown during the interval at the meeting, and the contributions were placed in their crash helmets. The figure was announced by the organisers at the conclusion of the meeting. The photograph shows some of the competitors tipping the money into one basket. They are (from the left): R. Briggs, B.
