"The Manufacture of Bread - an Essential Food"
- Description
This image was taken (but not used) by Frank Goldingham for Photorama pictorial magazine. Although it was housed with the April negatives, it was not published until the June edition in 1963.
Caption: "The Manufacture of Bread - An Essential Food. The bread we eat each day is one of the many things we take for granted and Photorama on these three pages shows the process needed in the manufacture of bread. Bridewell Bakery Palmerston North and Levin is one of five bakers in this area who bake every night five nights a week producing our daily bread. This firm with a staff of 17 in Palmerston North and 11 in Levin turn out well over two million loafs of bread a year."
