A large crowd surround the main ring at the Agricultural and Pastoral Association Showgrounds to watch a rguby match between Te Aute and Wanganui High Schools.

The Palmerston North Show Grounds are on a block of land in central Palmerston North, bounded on two sides by Cuba Street and Pascal Street. The first Agricultural and Pastoral Show in Palmerston North was held in 1886, at the showgrounds.
