Interior of The Universal Supply Depot shop, Main Street
This two-storey shop was situated in Main Street east, between the The Square and Princess Street, and was run by Fitzsimons & Cowling, who went out of business during the depression years. The building was later occupied by Manawatu Furnishers, but was demolished about 1967 and replaced in 1970 by a modern structure. Bill Cowing is on the far left and Michael H Fitzsimons is fourth from left.
