This window at the C.M. Ross Co. Ltd was specially prepared for the jubilee celebrations of 1952. Roscos, along with many other firms around town, decorated their windows with relics of the trade in earlier years. The Manawatu Evening Standard reported that this window was the most popular in town and was 'practically a museum of antiques'. C M Ross Co Ltd was one of the foremost department stores in Palmerston North, until it was sold to Milne and Choyce in 1959.
