Craig Harrison

Craig Harrison of Palmerston North won the Elmwood Players full-length play-writing competition with his play "Tomorrow will be a Lovely Day" in 1974. The prize was made possible by a grant from the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council through the New Zealand Theatre Federation. The play was performed as a feature of the Elwood Players 25th jubilee celebrations in Christchurch in May 1974. He took a BA in Arts at Leeds University and lectured in art and literature at Massey University. An exhibition of 10 of his paintings and 15 sketches was held at the Palmerston North Public Library in June 1970. Article in Manawatu Standard 14 March 1974.
