The Square Between Coleman Place and Rangitikei Street
Buildings from left: Arthur Hopwoods, ironmongers; Alfred J Mahon, clothier; O'Connor and Tydeman, Watchmakers and jewellers; an unidentified dentists; Garner Brothers, drapers; T Shields, tailor; J Rawlins, dining rooms; Cyril K Whale; Star Cycles; J B Wilton; Clarendon Family Hotel. The stables that used to be located in The Square opposite Rangitikei Street is visible, including a line of carriages. The fountain on the right side of the photograph is now part of the King Edward VII Coronation Fountain. The two monuments were combined in 1925.
